- Press Protect and download the locked file.
Share the password separately — for example, send the file by email and the password by WhatsApp.
Choosing a good password
- At least 8–12 characters.
- Mix letters, numbers and a symbol.
- Avoid names, birthdays and "123456".
- Need ideas? Use the Password Generator.
Remove a password from your own PDF
If you know the password and are tired of typing it, use Unlock PDF: enter the password once and download an unlocked copy. Only unlock files you own or have permission to open.
Hide information instead
Sometimes you don't need to lock the whole file — just hide a CNIC number, account number or address. Redact PDF permanently blacks out the words you choose, so they can't be copied or recovered.
Is it private?
Yes. Protection, unlocking and redaction all run in your browser. Your document and password never leave your device.
